Overgas plans to supply public buildings, new neighborhoods and trade centers with natural gas in 2010

The company will set up 21 kilometer-long pipeline in Sofia and 1200 meters in the cities of Bankya and Bozhurishte. Meanwhile, all subsidiary companies will continue to develop the already existent gas network in the build-up areas.

90 utility buildings in Sofia switched to natural gas in 2009

“Sofiagas” EAD marks a 19% growth in its economic market during 2009. Another 90 utility and public buildings in Sofia, Bankya and Bozhurishte switched to natural gas last year. Therefore the company’s clients in the sector are already 562. In the beginning of 2009 they were 472.

1300 households use natural gas in Varna

The number of households in Varna, which have chosen natural gas as their energy source grew with almost 15% - from 1114 to 1280. For the last trimester of 2009 all of them economized 166 thousand leva (an average of 43 leva per month) due to switching from electricity, naphtha and mazut to natural gas.

The price of heating power in Razgrad is 25% cheaper than last winter

14% growth in domestic consumption of natural gas in Montana

There are 203 additional households that have switched to the blue fuel during the year and now their total amount is 1623. The gas infrastructure in the city also supplies 168 public and 26 industrial buildings, among which the sport complex “Ogosta”, a store from “Kaufland” chain, and accumulator factory “Monbat”, which is also one of the company’s biggest natural gas consumers.

Gasification reduces over 300 thousand tones of noxious emissions

Gasification in the capital – Sofia, helped reducing 65.6 thousand tones of bad substances. Stara Zagora is the next city where gasification has reduced the number of emissions in the atmosphere - 34 thousand tones, followed by Veliko Turnovo – 17.8 thousand tones, Rousse – 15.2 thousand tones and Burgas – 14.9 thousand tones.

1200 households on natural gas in Asenovgrad

It is expected that by the end of the year the number will increase with another 90 domestic customers. All of them continue to save from their energy expenses this winter by switching to natural gas. In the domestic sector, where electricity is the main heating source, economies reach 528 thousand leva (an average of 73 leva per household).

Almost 28 million leva economized in 3 months

In July, August and September most resources were saved by the 539 gasificated enterprises – 23.8 million leva. Public buildings that used mainly naphtha before switching to natural gas saved 3 million leva. Households, which switched from electricity to natural gas saved 900 000 leva.
